About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of managing and delivering complex public works infrastructure projects. You will lead project teams, nurture client relationships, and influence the growth of your department. What You’ll Own

  • Lead all phases of public infrastructure projects—from inception and planning to delivery and closeout.
  • Mentor, manage, and expand a team of engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, contracts, and quality control processes.
  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with exceptional standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and public agencies; drive business growth and new opportunities.
  • Make critical decisions independently and navigate complex project challenges.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams, leveraging your expertise and local knowledge.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in public works civil engineering.
  • Valid Arizona Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in good standing.
  • Proven track record in business development, client management, and public agency collaboration.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and growing engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of the Phoenix metropolitan area, with a local network or book of business preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment & Location

  • This is a full-time, in-office role based in Phoenix, AZ.
  • Hybrid work options (1–2 days/week) may be available after 6–12 months depending on performance.
  • Candidates must be local to the Phoenix area or willing to relocate prior to starting.
