Civil Engineering Project Manager Jobs in Hillsborough New Jersey Full Time

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced and driven Project Manager to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering firm with a strong reputation in civil site design and land development. This is an exceptional opportunity to take the lead on high-impact projects for well-established private and public-sector clients in the region.

You’ll oversee site development projects from concept through construction, manage client relationships, and guide a talented team of engineers and designers — all while contributing to projects that shape communities and support sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the full lifecycle of civil/site development projects, including residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects.
  • Coordinate and lead internal project teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Review and approve engineering plans, reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Navigate local, county, and state permitting and regulatory approval processes.
  • Collaborate with land planners, architects, and other engineering disciplines as needed.
  • Mentor junior staff, providing technical guidance and professional development support.

 

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required (NJ preferred).
  • 6+ years of progressive civil/site engineering experience, including team and project leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of site layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and erosion control.
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Familiarity with local land use regulations and permitting agencies in New Jersey.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
